About us

90,000 people are diagnosed with Parkinson’s each year

Each event the Parkinson’s Disease car goes to, we hear the same story, but with different details. “My uncle has Parkinson’s,” or “My mom had Parkinson’s.” Their sister, their cousin, their best friend. Each story is heartbreaking, and contains a list of everything that person had taken from them by this disease. We are left with a simple choice, as a result: offer our sympathies and move on, or do what we can to solve the root cause of these stories. Parkinson’s Disease can, and will be, cured.

But it will only be cured by people who choose to help. When Bill’s diagnosis came, our first question was, “How can we help?” He asked us to continue racing, and use it to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. We chose to do one better. We were going to use racing to help find a cure for it. And so, Racing for Parkinson’s was born.
